Thumbs down Saving in iTunes problem

To whomever may be able to help me:

I used to be able to double click on a downloaded song (100%) or even a partially-downloaded song (preview) and it would appear in iTunes immediately. Now, it goes to the "Shared" folder (under "Preferences") and I have to manually drag it to the iTunes library. Is there a way to change it back to the way I had it before? If so, how? -The Desk Clerk

Try disabling the Limewire player.

Enabling itunes support will automatically put all music you download into a plsylist called "Limewire" in itunes.

Default Me too and then some...

I'm having the same problem. It was happening with my old limewire, so I upgraded to the new one [free] and still...click and it goes into the shared folder. Actually now its not going in there it is showing the file I download and sayig it has Zero K for the size and it is an ITUnes document. It is also creating a generic file icon with the name downloads.bak and downloads.dat with different file sizes from 4 to 8k, those its calling limewire documents.
WTF!!! What did I do? How can I fix it? I am running 9.2.1 on a G4.

Someone help! Can you tell me how to fix this, email me at

Default Launching into iTunes

Count me in for the "Launching into folder vs iTunes club" too.

Blackbird, your advice sounds good but (forgive my incredible lack of computer savvy) how do I enable iTunes support and disable the LimeWire player?

Go into the Limewire preferences (in the file menu) and go through the options. One of them should be called "iTunes" the other one "Player".
