Default Limewire crashing on OS 9.2.2, G4 iMac

In OS 9.2.2, on G4 iMac, with plain LimeWire and LimeWire Pro 3.6.15, the program will load, and I can usually get in a search or two and maybe a download, but I'll click on something, usually anything, the title bar, a button, a tab, a menu, etc, and it will just quit with error type two. This program is unusable.

stief has a spectacular aura about
Default

With 102048KB memory allocated to the LW app, 61440 KB allocated to the Apple Applet Runner and the fax extensions turned off, 3.6.15 is quite usable.

Hashing takes too long though--~20 minutes for each 80 megs on a G3 iBook. This is different from the last time I tried when booted into OS 9.
