Major Problem with Pro. Help Anyone? Hi There All!
Here's the scoop:
I'm on an iMac G3 Running OS 9.2.2.
In the begining, I was using LW Free. Everything was working just dandy. I was a happy DLoader! Snug as a bug. Then cam a long an updated version of the Free LW. "what's this?" I wondered? Something new? Must be good. So I went on my merry way and downloaded the update. Excited to take it for a test spin, I launched LW. Uh, Oh. A problem. Everything launched just fine and I was on my way to downloading evaluation copies (wink wink) of MP3's. Cause you know I wanted to test before I bought. But I noticed that there where no cute buttons that allowed me to clear the inactive or kill the download. Hmmm, I thought. This must be new in the updated version. But as my evaluation copies of unfinished MP3's stacked up in the DL window, I grew concerned. So, I go an dbuy the Pro, becuase I figured if I pay for the darn thing, it must work, right?
So, I DL it and install it and...same problem. No cute buttons. A bit concerned by now, I contact support. they tell me to uninstall and clear everything out that says LW off the HD. So I do it. Now I DL once again and now, I can't even get pass the set up stage after LW has been installed. I mean I get a screen that says LW will now take me through some set up crap. No buttons to push that say "next' or anything. Just a fricking screen.
By now I am furious!!!! I DL another copy, uninstall and repeat. This goes on for two days and a dozen installs later. I was on OS 9.1 originally. Then I updated to 9.2.1 Nothing, then 9.2.2 Still nothing, then checked for the MJR 2.25, it's there, but hey, while I'm in the mood for reinstalling crap, why not do that a few dozen times as well.
So here I am...no LW, out the money and frustrated as hell. My MP3 world has screeched to a hault! I NEED MY FRICKIN MUSIC!!!!! Well...uh, hmmm to evaluate that is.... :-)
Can anyone help a poor little ol MP3 evaluater? please...Thank you! |
