Default can you help solve itunes problem?

hi guys i have itunes,but when i click the "burn cd" icon,it comes up with the error message "authoring support not found".what am i doing wrong?id it because i havent paid to burn the cds even though i have downloaded the songs from limewire or is it something basic??please help!!

yeah i have tried all of this now and i am getting a new message cd burner or software not found,i thought the burner was separate so i updated my computer to accomodate the burner as it says above,but it still won t work it says i dont have a supported cd burner where can i get an internal burner from??i have an external burner bu that wont work either,i would prefer to use itunes,can someone tell me i can get an internal burner and software to download??i have a mac os 9.2.2

help!

if your cd drive isn't read/write (CDR/W, no software will help. If it is (check the Apple Menu, Apple System Profiler, to find out what model of CD drive is installed in your machine), check the manufacturer's home site and look for an updated driver.
