Help with "Launch" function?? Hi, running OS 8.6 on a G3 desktop and have stuck with version 2.86 as I prefer that interface/appearance.. TIl recently the "Launch" feature worked fine. I now get no playback upon clicking LAUNCH during a download (for previewing purposes). I am not sure what's changed or what steps i need to take to enable an mp3 application to automatically "talk" to Limewire or vice versa, in order for some player to recognize a file being downloaded and open it.... FYI, it was previously working via Quicktime Player. I seem to recall something addressing this elsewhere in this forum but can't find it...having to do with the "File Exchange" feature (In the Mac OS control panels). However, i'm not clear how to "set" that having tried and found a LOT of various options that i had no understanding of how to manipulate..... - tho this may or may not be involved in solving this problem. Appreciate any input to restore the Launch functionality.....FYI I have Quicktime as well as a variety of other mp3 player apps such as SOundJam... tho initially the default was to QT each time when it worked before. |
