Default more Mac woes

forgive me it this has been addressed elsewhere, but i have searched around the forum and haven't turned up a solution.

Symptom: LW appears to load as far as the prompt to upgrade to LW Pro. once that window closes, the Limewire Icon is in my menu but the Limewire Window is not on my screen.

i have been running LW on this machine for several months and then one day..it just happened. i re-installed LW, got a message saying that 'install anywhere' was not available, so i updated my Java, deleted my preferences, assigned LW more memory and still the problem persists.

i'm on a Mac G4 running OS 9.2.1 and i feel a void in my work day without the welcome distraction of Limewire..now all i do is WORK.

I usually kept the Limewire window at the bottom of my screen..almost off altogether. i thought maybe it was pushed down too far so i tried changing screen resolution to allow me drag it back up but i can't find it anywhere.

thank you in advance for any insight you might have.

It often helps in OS9 to restart your computer & rebuild the desktop after installing a software. Hold down the Command + Option keys as soon as you restart.

Which version of Java did you install?

Oh, after more reading do you mean the app starts-up off screen? Changing the screen res is a good idea to locate it. Try other screen sizes if possible. But still, if it's not inconvenient, rebuild your desktop folder.
