MPEG's & MAC

I just recently d/l'ed Limewire and it works OK EXCEPT...
I can't open the MPEG files I d/l' ed!
Not with Quick Time or Limewire launcher or anything.
I have a Power PC 603e Mac OS 8.6 144 M RAM
HELP!!
