I have Limewire1.6d for Mac. I'm also using O/S 8.6.

90% of my downloaded MP3's are read by my O/S as

"limewire.doc". My computer cannot open them. My MP3 player
will not read it when forced to either.

Why is this happening??

I have a similar problem. When I click on the mp3 file, it launches Limewire, not my MP3 player. Any help would be appreciated.

Its a funny thing...I have the same problem, but with all my limewire downloads, mp3's, .sits, its real annoying.

For Mp3's, someone once told me that you can append the file ".mp3" manually and it will then work. This does in fact solve the problem, but its a bit labor intensive and it would be great if someone can suggest a better fix. And it doesn't help the .sit files.
