![]() Was happy with limewire lite for a couple of years. Thought I would upgrade to pro. Loads more files, great but it is slow to navigate around the screen and cant ever seem to download anything. Anyone got any suggestions as to what Im doing wrong or is this the norm. Should I just go back to lite or subscribe to another p2p. Any help appreciated by this not very computer literate file sharer. Cheers. |

![]() It is often said it's best to delete your LW preferences folder before updating to Pro (whilst LW is closed); instructions here: Fixes for Limewire 2. Whilst LW is closed again, go to your LW incomplete folder & list it in size mode. Then delete all files that are less than say 10 KB in size. Then after opening LW, go to the downld list & click on the top of the Progress column so it lists everything in % downlded. Delete all files 1% or less. This will dramatically release more life into LW (as well as the 1st suggestion.) 3. After opening LW, wait 20 to 30 mins before doing anything. Have a cup of coffee or something. That will give LW a chance to load all incomplete files & shared files & attempt to connect to each individual file. 4. Some hints: A well set-up LW can start to automatically continue its dwnlding after it's settled down perhaps 2 out of 3 times you open LW. Optimising LW & Maximising Uplds & Dwnlds A (1st post only) & also Part B which is even better & last & least are search & dwnld hints. The latter one I've been thinking about re-writing for some time. That's just for playing it safe. eg- I show all speeds & qualities. eg: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...028#post116028 5.
