I wonder if anyone can help me out with this: Everytime I attempt to install a new version of Limewire in OSX, it craps out at the very end of the install. The only message it gives me is that "There were errors installing the software. Please try installing again."

When I check the log it says:
1- Could not delete files
2- Could not set file attributes
3- Could not write file

I've noticed that I have many files on my hardrive (documents and applications) that have small lock icons activated in the icon. It's strange that I can't unlock them because in the Get Info window it says that I have read and write permissions for the file(s). My current version of Limewire (3.5.8) is also one of these files. I think that may be the source of my problem. Does that mean that I should restart in OS9 and trash the old files before re-installing in OSX?

It sounds like a permissions thing to me (but I admit that I don't know much about these things!) I'm attempting to repair permissions with Onyx but it's never helped before. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
