I can't access files I download a file, an Mp3 for example, I double click on the icon and it opens up Limewire instead of my Mp3. Why? |
This worked for me... I was also having problems with being able to view or listen to files. Look in the directory where limewire is putting the files after the're done downloading(the default is something like ...limewire\shared or something), and make sure that the file extension is there (such as .mp3 , .jpg etc.). Hope this helps. By the way, does anyone know why the file extension are getting cut off? Bleak |
Be sure your download is complete Guys ... be sure that you wait until the download file is completely downloaded and Limewire shifts it from the "Incomplete" folder to the "Shared" folder ... then it should open and run just fine. If you are having trouble getting the File Type and File Creator and you want then download a utility like File Buddy (see shareware.com) which will give you control of type and creator. An example might be if you want your mp3's to be iTunes files and you're getting QuickTime files you can use File Buddy to change the File Creator to iTunes. |
Hi, if someone could help me pls that be great. I was resuming a download, and after I re-connected to Limewire it was gone and now is in the incomplet folder. Can anyone tell me how I resume that download, or bring it back to the download spot? Also when I try to hide the window of LimeWire, it quits on me saying Error2, which i think is memory, well i already increased it. Any help would be appreciated -thanks |
