How do I open a Program?

Hi- First time user with a new Ibook G4 1.33 using Tiger 10.4.2. After I upload a program I try to Launch and nothing happens? Thanks for advice in advance.

Well, you shouldn't be attempting to launch programs via LW. The launch function is only intended for A/V files such as video, audio & pics. So instead, select the Saved Files folder & press the Explore button & this will open the folder up for you. From there you can open the program. ;) :)

I have a mac, do programs open up from shared file automatically?

Thanks for your reply. I sort of found the save file since I posted my question. I am just waiting for a program to upload and should I assume I just click it on and it will install?

I would presume it's either a SIT or dmg file right? If so, then double-clicking will probably uncompress/mount the file. Then it depends. There might be an installer inside or just a program you can drag & drop to your applications folder. If it's an installer then yes double-click it.

If you have trouble opening the sit or dmg, then drag & drop it. eg: D & D a sit file onto stuffit expander or a dmg file onto disk copy.
