My Library - Different iPod. HOW? I painstakingly imported three CD's into my iTunes library and connected my wife's iPod with the idea of putting them on her iPod...now, I can't figure out how to do it!! I get a window asking me if I want to change library links and wipe out everything on her iPod and replace it with my library...I don't want to do that, but I am not presented with any other alternative. I have searched for ways to export and import but so far I have been frustrated in my efforts. I'd like to have this done for her in the morning before she leaves on a trip. Somebody out there have a quick and easy answer?? If so, please bring it on with all speed, and I thank you heartily. |
First of all, let me say the problem is resolved! With my wife's iPod connected to my computer, I found the option of manually updating iPods (Edit\Preferences). They warn you that when this is selected, you will have to manually eject the iPod. Not a big deal. It's OK. When I selected that button, I discovered that I was then able to take things from my library and move them to my wife's iPod. Perhaps no one else will ever have this problem, but if it turns out that you prove me wrong on this, I've provided you a good clue... Yours Brookston |
