Angry Unexpectedly crashes...constantly

Please help--I'm a first-time user and I downloaded Limewire 1.7c onto my Mac (OS 9.1) today. Everything was going fine until it Limewire started unexpectedly quitting (error type 2, I believe).

I restart my machine and the app runs smoothly again, but only for a little while before crashing again.

Not knowing what to do, I've tried uninstalling Limewire, but that doesn't work. I get a message every time saying the uninstaller could not run because of an error.

Reading the faq about new.net as a possible problem, the ways to get rid of that seem to apply only to windows users. (Im' not sure if I have it anyway).

What do I do now???
