Why can I use LimeWire PRO anymore?

Ive have purchased LimeWire PRO in december 2003, and have still the email that was send to me by LimeWire with all the necesary information.

Now a few years later I have bought a new Apple G5 an reinstalled Limewire again, running under OS X. Everytime I start up LimeWire, a message tells me to upgrade to the PRO version, which I already did.

If I try to contact LimeWire PRO support, I can't connect with my email adress anymore.

I dont wish to pay again for become a PRO-user, so can anyone tell me what I can or must do to become back a PRO-user?

Regards,
Luc

Pro offers 6 months of free updates & customer support. Near the end of 6 mths they will offer a discount for a short-time for continuation as a pro customer. But if the offer is not taken up on, then your name will disappear off their database. Only get LW thru the official site: http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml

Thanks for you're answer, but I already know al this.

I only like to know if I must pay again to become a PRO user? LimeWire write on there site once you have paid to become a PRO user, you don't have to do this again, but how must I install this version again?

I can't acces they support anymore. So what must I do?

Please give me the internet address of the page where LW says once you have paid to become a PRO user, you don't have to do this again. I'd like to see where they say that. Can you tell me where, which url address? If you still have the program that's fine, you can keep using it. But as they say on their site, they only offer updates for 6 months. If you downlded pro now then that would be an update. Since your Pro support ran out 19 months ago. If you really want pro then you'll need to pay for it. Otherwise get LW Basic.

Click on the following link and read the Question "Q: Will I be billed every month for the LimeWire PRO service?"
http://www.limewire.com/english/cont...q.shtml#lwpro1

And once again...
I don't want to load down a PRO version of the program,...
I don't need updates or upgrades,...

All I want is the right to use the PRO version, because I have paid for it and don't want to purchase twice the same...

When I purchased LimeWire PRO, they has send me a mail and a CD. Why can I log in with this email-adress?

I looks to me the support isn't what it should use to be... :(

Luc

A one time charge with 6 months of support & updates. That's it. It means you're not charged monthly or whatever. Once you buy pro, you can use that program or any of those updates over the next 6 mths for as long as you desire. It doesn't mean you have a "lifetime" membership to pro. If you lose what you bought then that's your fault not LW's. Understand that you bought the program in 2003. So if you wanted to replace your program with an updated version, then that was only valid until June. I'm not talking about this anymore. If you can't comprehend what 6 months of updates mean & you lost it then so be it. If you buy a car but you lose it. Even though it's under warranty, doesn't mean the company will replace it for you. And even if the warranty is finished & the car broke down due to manufacturing defects, they would not replace the car. If you lose it then that's not the company's fault. That's your fault. You're expecting a new version of LW Pro for no payment despite your business transaction & free updates finished 19 mths ago. Sounds like you misunderstood your purchase or you're trying to con both myself & the LW company. This thread is closed! No point it reiterating over same ground, deaf ears, & lack of understanding.
