Can anyone give me some advice please? I made a post yesterday but got no answers. I updated my limewire basic version 4.9.? to limewire basic version 4.10.5 last week. I had no problems whatsoever previously with limewire which I've had for the last six months but ever since updating last week to 4.10 my computer has been running verrrry slow with a hanging beach ball every time I try to change applications or do something else while limewire is running. It is very frustrating not to be able to do anything else as long as limewire is running so please forgive me if I sound testy. Also in limewire I get hanging beachball anytime I try to change screens or do new search or click on something to download and when I type in new keywords It takes several seconds for the characters to show up. I have tried deleating incomplete files, uninstalling, and reinstalling limewire, and I still have the same problems. When I uninstall limewire, I no longer have the slowdown problems in other applications but this is an unhappy solution since I really used to love limewire. Please Help.

I've tried to do many of the fixes listed in the various threads. I read a post from someone who has the same problem in the pro version and the temporary fix was someone emailed him a copy of on older version of limewire before the junk filter was added. Can someone email me a copy of an older version too please. I never had any problems with limewire until I got the updated 4.10 version.

I suspect the reason. Same as happened to me in many ways.
