A number of users have reported that that when they unclick "automatically remove completed uploads" and start monitoring their upload activity, they see constant "Transfer Interrupted" messages as uploads start and then die before completing.
The same users will then try to come back on almost immediately and resume, getting a few more bytes before the transfer is again interrupted.
After trying tens or hundreds of times, they may get a complete file.
1) This is not a firewall issue, because some downloads do complete and on each attempt, the users gets a little more of the file. One can see this by noting that an interrupted upload will re-start with a percentage already complete.
2) This is not a dynamic IP issue, because the upload will try to resume almost immediately. There is simply not enough time to account for a user going back and running a new search.
I suspect this is a Limewire Code issue, perhaps in the Download Any routines, where the Limewire Client isn't recognizing that a download is in progress and then "jumps" to the next host instead of sticking with the one that's up and running.
Can one of the programmers please track this down??? It's probably slowing down the network and causing all sorts of problems.
