Installer starts and quits, no install
 

Mac OS 9.2.1 MRJ 2.2.5. I download 1.8. Unstuff with Stuffit., get an install file. Double click the install file, get an window saying Preparing to install, Extracting this applications's installer. Then the installer just quit without saying anything, no alerts, no warnings. And nothing is installed.
I have tried both downloads for Mac. e.g. with and without VM.
Does anyone now what can be wrong.

i get the same problem too and its really damn frustrating.. whats going on wif Limewire???

installer problems
 

i couldn't get the 1.8 installer to work either - i was getting "the zip archive in the application is corrupt. please contact the developer for another copy" no matter what. so i went to the faq here and found where i could download version 1.7. 1.7 installer worked great, as does limewire itself. was having way too frequent freezes in 1.4, so 1.7 appears to be the answer to my problems. try that, you may not even care about 1.8!
