Question Program won't launch

Everytime I try to launch limewire, it shows the first window that has a clock image, and then it shows a window that says Limewire and has a picture of a lime, and then it seems to quit and it's like I never even tried to open it. I can't get it to work at all!

Question

Yeah, the same thing happens to me each time I open Limewire. At first when I downloaded Limewire I didn't have trouble with it (except it was excruciatingly slow, in about an hour I was able to download about three songs literaly) but about the third time I opened Limewire, it began to get all screwed up. It would open up the watch, then the rectangular box with pictures of limes. Then it would suddenly quit as though I had never opened it in the first place. When I uninstalled Limewire and tried to reinstall it (because the first time it was installed I didn't have a problem) I couldn't even open the installer. It would get to the box with the clock/watch as it opened, then suddenly quit. Now I can't even install Limewire. PS I have a crappy Mac PowerPC G3, with OS 8.1. Help?

I too have this problem.

I have a PowerBook G3 400Mhz. using 2.1 What gives? Sometimes I get Error Type 2 and other times it's as if I never opened it. Always right after the watch and the Lime Picture.

It seems this happens alot for us Mac Users....what does everyone do?

Are they fixing it?

For Mac users , quit the installer. Re open it again click on control I (get info) (drop down menu) memory. Give the application more memory (I have it set to about 10k or so)close the window and restart Limewire that should solve your problem.

About error 2, make sure you don't have FaxSTf enabled:

Angry Same problem!

I'm having the same problem! And it's only started happening after I installed 2.1 for OSX. Now, even if I run my old 17c in Classic, it won't work. Neither one works! Why haven't the programmers helped us yet? I see other people have posted similar distress. Following is my error report from the crash of 17c in Classic:
