re: mp3's not playing make sure u have trhe most recent quicktime software - the files should them come down as quicktime files and once theyre down create a new playlist in itunes and drop and drag them straight in |
how do i no if i have the newest wuicktime thing? and where do i download it at? |
I want to make them iTunes Mp3's-not QT-How? I never had this problem before. I used to download the files and then after they were 100%, I'd simply double-click them(in the download window of Limewire) and they would open up my iTunes window, and start palying as a file in the iTunes library-now, they don't move at all and instead of the file looking like the Itunes music icon, it looks like a blank, dog-eared piece of paper. Anyone know what changed with the new Limewrire i installed and how I can get it back in sync with ITunes? |
mp3's If they don't play, what happens .. errror message, nothing, ...? You can change the Save folder in Tools | Options. How they are saved is standard, so, you likely are getting an error message of some kind. |
No error message at all. they simply will not work-they don't have the same icons as before and same As i already said. wierd. |
ok can anyone answer my quiestion??? how do i update my quickktime player.. and wat version do i download??? |

iTunes associator PRO download "iTunes associator 1.6" from versiontracker. Then drag your mp3s on the iTunes Associator Pro icon and you're done |
Same problem... I have Limewire 1.8, and at least half (or more) of my downloads end up showing as Limewire documents without the correct program association (clicking on them sends you back to Limewire!). This is not only happenning with MP3's (I have current Quicktime and iTunes), but also on program and video downloads. This has been really annoying, and seems to be getting worse (more files called 'Limewire Document' than withthe correct extensions). Any insight would be appreciated, I'm not sure if I need to go back to the previous Limewire version to get past this - john |
MP3s Don't Play This is very similar to what I have experienced just today. I have been using 1.8c for 5 - 6 weeks with no problems what so ever. (MacOS 9.2.2, LimeWire 1.8c, QuickTime 5.0.2, iTunes 2.0.2) Wasn't even aware of the new Limewire 2.0 version until we downloading Limewire for a second Mac. (MacOS 9.2.2, LimeWire 2.0, QuickTime 5.0.2, iTunes 1.x) Limewire has been working fine on both machines and I decided to upgrade from 1.8c to 2.0 for the first machine. Seemed to go fine with the install but now when I click on "launch" for an MP3 I get an error message. "The folder 'plug-ins' cannot be found, and is required. Please reinstall the application". I did. I used the uninstaller (found in the Limewire folder) to uninstall both of the then installed 1.8c and 2.0 versions of Limewire. Then I downloaded and installed 2.0 again. The same results. Please help!! |
change the name of the song in title.mp3…thats all |
yeah thats right if song is called my song just change it to my song.mp3 and it will open in quicktime or whatever mp3 player you have as default!!!. mine used to be quicktime but since i downloaded limewire 2.0.2 the files are downloading as blank sheets of paper icon but if i double click them my mac asks me if i want to open them in quicktime or destiny mp3 player but if i choose quicktime when song is finished it doesn't convert to quicktime it goes back to blank paper icon. i have blue and white g3 384mb ram. also aol keeps quitting out and crashing - is this a java issue as i don't think aol run java!! |
