ultrapeer How come I always connect to an ultrapeer even if I disable it. I upgraded from 1.7 to 2.0 and now I get barely any hits compared to before. What can I do to get more hits consistently? Or is there anywhere I can get 1.7? I trashed it because 2 was supposed to be better |

answering a bunch of questions When you disable ultrapeer in the options that prevents you from being an ultrapeer but you can still connect to an ultrapeer. This thread explains ultrapeer and search results <http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...&threadid=6292>. Old versions are at <http://www3.limewire.com/download/>. Leave the new version installed though and run that whenever you can for ultrapeer to be more successful. To answer the second poster, any servant doesn't become an ultrapeer right away unless you force it to. Therefore ultrapeers generally are hosts with stable connections running on modern operating systems. If the ultrapeer connection is lost, your client will try other hosts that it has gathered like it always has. |
