Default Limewire status shows grayed out "Connecting"

Limewire launches but does not connect.
'Connect" is gray and does not progress to connected.
I purchased Pro last year and 'am running Mac OS 9.2.
Up to now it's been working fine. I've uninstalled and reistalled LW a couple of times,
my cable modem connection is fine. I'm stumped!

Default Comcast... Blocking or shaping Limewire?

Hello all,
Does anybody know if Comcast is blocking or shaping Limewire?
I can't get past "Satus Connecting".

Hi gwargo,

It sounds like Comcast are throttling uploads. Downloads...I'm not so sure. They don't seem to be actually blocking p2p either, here are a few things to read

http://www.gnutellaforums.com/downlo...ease-help.html

Comcast is using Sandvine to manage P2P Connections - dslreports.com

Compiler - Wired Blogs

Please post your system details. I'm not a Mac user, but your details will help somebody else to help you.

I'll move this all into the Mac support section & add it to your existing thread there
