Default iTunes and Quicktime

I am having the same problem as mentioned before- was once able to download to iTunes, now files will only go to Quicktime player- its possible that a newer updated version of Quicktime was installed recently, but I don't know how to fix the "preferences" you mentioned-- please walk me through the exact steps to get back to downloading on iTunes-Thanks

3 suggstions:

get finderpop at www.finderpop.com and you'll be able to change the filetype via popup-menu. it's self-explained.

Open the file exchange control and search for mp3. Change the default program to itunes. maybe it works that way, but that's too easy :-)))

drag the files over itunes !?

hope, one works
