a simple network fix It seems that some of the major problems are not due to Limewire software but to the network, eg, I'm in the middle of downloading a large program and it stops, I try to get it back several times and a search of that program comes up empty; what probably has happened is that the guy who was sharing it turned off his computer. This happens every day when I try to download things. One fix would be if everyone would agree to simply leave their computers on all night, or for a fixed time, with Limewire running. Also if network users would all agree to download things in order to share them; eg, if somebody has one copy of a program, if several folks would download it even if they don't want it in order to share it. This way we would build an online repository and not be dependent on one person who might have a given software. Its less of a problem for the more popular programs, but for programs with few copies being shared this approach may help all users.
Suppose in the preferences we had to check a time schedule, like I agree my files will be available for a 4 hour slot from midnight till 4am. Then I have a particular set of files I share, the next guy does the same thing, and possibly to mark each file somehow with a time that it will be there; so ultimately folks in different time slots would have the same sets of files and they would always be available with multiple copies of each.
