oh .. LimeWire program will not open?

1. Which OSX version are you using? (example: OSX 10.5 (Leopard), 10.6 (Snow Leopard), 10.3 (Panther), 10.4 (Tiger), etc.

2. Which model of mac computer do you have? (a) MacPro, iMac, MacBook Pro, MacBook, G5, G4, etc.? (b) model? (c) details of computer which can be found under apple menu top left of screen 'About This Mac ...' such as processor speed, memory ram.

I'm wondering if you have a non-intel model of mac & the newer version of LW will not run on it. Else it's most likely an OSX Java installation issue.

From what I can ascertain, your model was released in 2006 & is not an intel 64 bit machine. Since you are using Leopard which only has 64 bit Java 1.6 & not 32 bit java, your machine will not be able to run LW 5 unless you upgraded to Snow Leopard OSX 10.6 which has both 32 & 64 bit java.

So for now at least, you will only be able to run LW 4 by looks of things. To downgrade to LW 4, you will first need to remove the install limewire.pkg file from receipts folder. See more about this here: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/mac-os...ck-lw-4-a.html

Default LW

I have now down loaded LW4 and was able to open it. However when I down loaded an album I am not able to play the down load. Any suggestions how to make it play?
