 WTF is Bitrate I'm always have trouble downloading music - but that's besides the point, I just wanted to know if any of you could explain in laymen terms what 'bitrate' is and what difference does it make - I have a general idea but that isn't saying mcuh. Thank you if you can help  |

 Bitrate question Here are a couple of sites <br> MP3Machine.com <BR> Webopedia <br> What it boils down to is how many samples per second are taken of an source (in this case Audio)... the higher the sample rate the closer to the original sound Last edited by bobomon; March 28th, 2002 at 03:06 AM. |
