Default Speculative Invoicing - an evil trick used by copyright holders to boost their profits

The nasty tricks by copyright companies to obtain special profits by using 'Speculative Invoicing' to trick people into paying a lot of money to help boost the companies overall profits. The underlying theme is 'do not be tricked into paying', you simply help support their process and are admitting some kind of guilt. They will continue to use this process as long as people are willing to pay. It's all a scare tactic, money making exercise.

Last month I found this link on the Australian Whirlpool forum, a forum I have a lot of respect for: http://forums.whirlpool.net.au

The advice you should read: ('The Speculative Invoicing Handbook')

Edit: Included this petition which is Australian: Say NO to Speculative Invoicing in Australia | Facebook

Hi LOTR

You know, I believe that "Speculative Invoicing" has been declared illegal a couple of years ago in the UK.

The American shyster that started all this in the UK has been declared bankrupt and, I think, has been struck off.

(By the way, I can't find any of my previous post that highlighted this very same problem)

However, there was another UK company that consulted a high court judge on this matter because they wanted a legal basis to send out "invoices". The judge told that them that such invoices were illegal.

And until your post, I have not heard of any other company trying to send out "Speculative Invoices" in the UK.

UK Bob

PS. I've downloaded that .pdf your post linked to.
