To be honest I feel I have been a victim of a scam so far, I seem to be paying for alot of premiums to gain access to download sites. However all what has seem to happen so far is my computer has been raided of all its software, yet when I request a download, it doesn't seem to be there, which is a little unfair.

I am not just saying this, I am disabled, haven't got alot of money to spend so I was hoping to be able to download some movies and music so I can have a little enjoyment, however at the moment that doesn't seem to be the case, as I don't seem to be able to find the movies or the music.

I wonder if someone, somewhere could take a little time out to help me, understand what to do, and how to go about this.

If you can spare a little time, please could you email me at (removed for security/privacy reasons).

I hope i haven't broke any rules in posting this, however I certainly need some help.

Have you seen http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=24819 ? I hope you weren't caught by one of these sites.

As for finding content to suit your tastes, . . . what kind of computer system and p2p client do you use? Keyword searches or the "What's New?" button using, say LimeWire, will give you a pretty good idea of what people share on the gnutella network.

Since you are seeing lots of uploads, looks like you have set up your machine well. Have you tried browsing or chatting some of those people who upload from you? This can help find similar material to your shares.

If you can't find the content you like, I'm not sure where else to try.

Yes I have been a victim of all these scams, thinking that they were genuine. With not knowing, I have parted with money right left and centre.

Feeling very let down.
