Unhappy How much data is coming in and going out?

I am wondering how much data is coming in and going out when Limewire is just connected. My reason for this question is because I have a limit on incoming and outgoing data transfer with Wanadoo uk, ie 2Gig per month.

So what is the best way to be working this program without eating up all my upload and download space?

Much appreciated

Salut Joules! Go in tools - stats - bandwidth - there is total bandwidth in and out in the first line, last column. If you want to limit download speed- go in options -downloads (LW beta 4.1 and later) or upload speeds in options - transfers -basic.

Remember, even if you have a monthly limit of bandwidth, don't forget to share your files with us. That's what P2P is all about.

Bonne chance

Default Think you may have misunderstood

Thanks for the reply et voilà!

What I am wanting to know is, when I am connected to Limewire and not downloading anything, I can see a load of data going through my system. How much data does this mount to if connected but not downloading anything come to roughly?

Again, my reason for asking this question is becasue I dont know if 2Gigs per month (wanadoo broadband 2Gig per month plan) is enough to be running Limewire constantly.

Thanks

Salut, normally the ISP gives a place to see how much bandwidth you used since the beginning of the month. I know it was my case with sympatico. Now if you don't find the place on the website (normally in your account), don't be afraid to call them, they ought to tell you how much bandwidth you have left.

Bonne chance

Well, if you are using Windows, have a try at NetMeter.

NetMeter is a small, customizable network bandwidth monitoring program available at:

http://readerror.gmxhome.de/

I'm using Version 0.9.9.9 (beta 2) (Build date: 03/04/04) It show total download/upload daily, weekly, monthly. Just remember to switch it on before you online, that's all... it's great it's free...
