Default What is happening to P2P devs after supreme court decision?

Today, the USA court rules against P2P companies in the Streamcast and Grokster case. Now what's happening?

Weird things as of the time of the writing:

LW devs didn't make commits to CVS today nor commented the outcome.
LW source is now monitored on sourceforge http://sourceforge.net/projects/openwire/ read the 27th june annoucement...
Bearshare forum is currently off.
Morpheus forum is unaccessible.
Shareaza website and its forum is unaccessible.
Gnucleus website is unavailable.

Are these related or simply coincidence? I'm gonna stop searching now because I'm scaring myself

Default ick

Well, the reason I haven't been active is twofold:

1) I've come down with bronchitis (sp?) and have barely been able to leave my bed for the last several days.

2) What computer time I do get has been mostly catching up on the events that have just occurred.

I did notice that the BearShare forum had been turned off though.

... an event that more than frequently follows the consistent habits of swallowing small amounts of saliva and breathing an average of 10-12 times per minute...

There must be weeping in the streets of Miami, hmmm ?

Vinnie lynched ?

The BS forums are probably down because of a great flame war between BS and RAZA users. Obviously, RAZA lost the battle as their whole domain went down.

I am the one who very first called it RAZA... For the so-called 'shareRazaDev' address in chat...

When the ignorant script-kiddies took over the rather bizarre Australian university students development of a p2p client, it was the beginning of the end for Shareaza...

Shareaza is THE rogue client within Gnutella Network and the sooner it fades away, the better...

My comments are not exactly as if from someone who was not 'there'...
This is no credit to me, other than if one wishes to consider the speed at which I GOT OUT...

Screw 'Mike' and especially ALL who sailed on him !

Default Going Public... er, NO...

and, further...

Now, in a public place, and not only in the 'exclusive places' where we nasty moderators groan at one another...

This thing called Gnutellaforums.com

MUST be made

registered users only may post.

A small step towards survival, gang !

Unlikely. RAZA is simply the 4-letter Gnutella identifier of Shareaza.

Don't tell me, I've been using Gnutella since 1984 on my C64.

No, Morpheus gets sued for their **** poor software. RAZA doesn't even come close.
