It Is No Longer A Scare Tactic jimis The Record Record and Film industry are now going after Individuals who share on the P2P Networks What You can do legally with music from cnet, which keeps upto date http://reviews.cnet.com/4520-10165_7-5798512-1.html This is from silicon.com, about a case in the Uk, from this year http://management.silicon.com/govern...9156000,00.htm This is what u would pay in the UK from October 2004, with some paying up to £6,500 to avoid going to court Don't know what it is in the US yet, but I will find Out My Brother who now lives in the US is trying to find out, he says it is different, for the different states, but he is trying to get a general sort of fine accross the board One Other Thing I was employed by a certain record company to flood the p2p networks with junk files, to try and stop the file sharing off music files, as I said in previous posts, can't remember where at pres, but I said how to spot the fake files (not 100%), but near enough The kazaa network has been considered destroyed by the record companies as their is that many fakes it's unusable, so has winmx, that program has nearly died. bearshare is starting to be flooded now, though most of the time u hardly got the file u were after anyway according to my sources in this (which i'll not name), they're are now starting to target the gnutella network, they started with the windows media files, and have started on the mp3 files, (i've already expained what their doing) Also the p2p networks are starting to be flooded with fake Film files as well they know that the files are being previewed, but to preview a file you have to d/l the start of it, they know this, and have prepared for it. Can't say any more without being sued Hope this helps Sgt |
