When I search for programmes in Limewire most of them turn out to be viruses (197.7 kb or 750.6 kb) is their a way that we can know the authencity before downloading??
Can't help you with the virus question but my experiences with Torrent have been miserable. I don't think I've ever found anything I wanted there. LW, on the other hand, is one of the 7 Wonders of the On Line world. I think it's amazing. There are just a few sound files I've had trouble tracking down over any extended period.

Could be a virus but doubtful. Don't know why disk clean up would delete all your files though, and I especially don't know why an error would pop up telling you to run disk clean up for virtual memory. Try to scan your pc for malware.

Using Google read up on Virtual Memory, Pagefile, Ram, diskcache in azureus. Also don't have too many torrents running at the same time (applies to both downloading and seeding)

If you mean the files for the application that you were downloading, then probably not and I would very much recommend that you do not try to continue the download and rather start over.

If other files have disappeared then yes (maybe). Have a look at this thread and follow the links. Try to download and run some of the programs (Restoration worked for me once)

BTW while Limewire is great for single songs and older videofiles, Azureus is great for whole albums and new videofiles

I have to correct this post. When I wrote it I'd been having a lot of problems with whatever bit torrent program I was trying to use. Now that I understand it... and know where to go for torrents... I think it, too, is amazing. Both LimeWire and BitTorrent have their own place. LW is great for single files. BT is better for large... even monstrous files. One just needs to be mindful that if a torrent isn't that active, the chances of getting a complete file are not that good.
