does vista or talktalk block p2p
 

hello if any one can help i would be grateful ive got a new computer and its got vista on .When installed my broadband from talktalk modem smartax mt882 all was fine until i tried to download p2p files then it wouldn,t let me saying i was behind a firewall or proxy server ,Took firewall of still same problem.i used to be able download p2p when i had xp and speedtouch 330 modem

It's not Vista as that is just your OS...But your problems would lay with your ISP TalkTalk, as they are known for shaping p2p apps....

any way round it

Find talktalk here ISP's known to BLOCK or Filter p2p or specifically Limewire. It depends on time of day you use it.
