Is this the only occasion this crash has happened?

It might just be a one-off and might not happen again. But will be looked over to see if there's a code problem that needs to be fixed. Thanks for posting the bug report.

In the meantime, you might want to put the 184.170.169.112 address into your banned filtered hosts. ie: Tools > Options > Advanced > Filtering & add (copy-paste or type) that address into the Add box & press Add Address. The host in question is a spambot.

One other thing, make sure your WireShare is added as an exception in your Windows firewall.

Try this WireShare here.

Edit: Changed the link because didn't realise the one I initially posted has a lot of advertisement downloads when not using an adblocker.

I'm not a Windows user per se but my answer would be no. I thought Windows has a built-in unzipper?

In essence:

Locate the compressed folder that you want to extract files or folders from.

Do one of the following:

1. To extract a single file or folder, double-click the compressed folder to open it. Then, drag the file or folder from the compressed folder to a new location.

2. To extract the entire contents of the compressed folder, right-click the folder, click Extract All, and then follow the instructions.

You can source the Limewire versions indirectly via the forum if you select the OS (Operating System) section that matches your OS under the LimeWire section of the forum here or installers for Windows here. Alternatively you can find versions at sites such as Oldversions.

WireShare is Limewire pirate edition that's been updated to fix several bugs and make improvements. So you are best to go for WireShare.
If you would prefer the older LimeWire 4 versions then you will also find links to those to download on this forum as mentioned above.
