Default Sloooow download rate with windows vista.

Basically since ive got windows vista ive been getting terribly slow download rates at around 3kb....

I am using Windows Defender and Kasperspy anti virus could it be this thats making the speed so slow ? if so how can i fix it When i used limewire with my windows XP (without kaspersky & defender) it worked perfect

Many people have found that when they unistalled their McAfee (which was pre-installed also) their LW started working fine....This is such an unknown area at the moment, that it's hard for any of us to come up with exact solutions....
Grandpa has Vista and he would be the best one to ask...Sorry...

I dought that Defender or Kasperspy are affecting your DL speed. Try deleteing your prefrence folder and if that does't work try some of the other fixes in the link below.

Get rid of Mcafee it is bad. Defender will not cause connection problems because it doesnt do much as it is. Its just there for display and anoyance. If you do need a virus program get Avast at avast.com because it was to me the first 64 bit and vista working virus scanner. It works well.
