Hi everybody.

The reason I joined this forum is to let you all know about my experiences with LimeWire. I run Vista Ultimate and only once could I get LimeWire to run. After the first time I would either get a message telling that the application needs to shut down because it encountered a problem or it would freeze upon connecting. What I have to do each time to get LimeWire to work is delete C:\Users\Jeramy\AppData\Roaming\LimeWire\installat ion.props. This will bring up the setup dialogue box the next time you run the application. I don't know why this works ...maybe its just my pc but I know that a lot of people have had the same problem.

Thanks,

Jemran

Hi,
Goto control panel > folder options > view. Enable show hidden files and folders. Then navigate to C:\Users\Jeramy\AppData\Roaming\LimeWire\ and delete the installation.props file. I have to do this each time before I run limewire. Please reply if this helps.

Have you tried deleting the installation.props file in appdata file?

C:\Users\"name of your account"\AppData\Roaming\LimeWire\installation.props

To see the appdata file you will have to have view hidden folders enabled in vista. Goto control panel -> folder options -> view to make sure.
