Default Not saving as MP3 wiht vista

I have had a lot fo trouble wiht LimeWire and Windows Vista. The first was uploading the files and getting them to run which would say an error has occured but I managed to pass that problem.

It is all working well now but when I save the files from LimWire and try to import to iTunes it does not comply, because the file it saves the music in is M3U not Mp3 which is really ****ing annoying there is probably an easy fix to this problem as I am not very good wiht computers but if someone could help it would be great.

Thank you-John.G

It's hard to say as Vista is so new, but I will have ago...
m3u is a playlist file and contains the location of songs in a playlist...
Now we need to find your shared folder which the mp3 files are saved to....

To find this folder click on one of your mp3's in your limewire library and click on explore...Your shared folder should now appear.... Now try dragging and dropping each file into a new playlist in your itunes....This is how it would normally work, but one of the develpers have suggested a problem with Vista...
This link will explain...

Let us know how you get on...

Seriously...Why does it keep saving as M3U files? What are M3U files anyway? They are downloaded as MP3 But change to M3U when they are saved and I cant find a way to change it and im also not running any Mcfee programs..Damn this Vista!

Also I have all the Java things sorted out so that cancels that out as any problem.

It is a play list file and iTunes uses it also you can probably import the M3U file to iTunes somehow. But I do not know how. I do not use iTunes. The link below explains what a M3U file is.

It is probably your Antivirus or spyware protection that is making you reinstall. There is nothing in Vista that will cause that.

If the files save to the shared folder try to save it to a different folder. Any folder should be fine. Make one called shared 2 or something you can remember.
