Ok If bearshare works, it connects to the same network, so in theiry you should get the same search resolts, So give it a try. Let us know how it works with Macafee. P.S.. Its not the only firewall you have, You also have the option of using windows firewall.

Limewire + Vista + McAfee = NO CONNECTION It's not just the McAfee firewall that's the problem it's the whole security program and as quoted by the limewire developers themselves unless McAfee do something about a fix it is just not going to work... So you have 2 options get rid of McAfee (the whole thing) or get rid of Limewire.... Disabling the firewall is not going to fix your problem.... Also half the time you call your ISP customer support and they don't even know what a Nat firewall is....So even if you do get rid of McAfee you may still have to Port Forward and it's really not that hard....

Were all rooting for you mate (Nice One) Dont forget to reboot your comp after the addition of each component of Macafee, then when you find the guilty component, there may be a setting that can be reconfigured.
