Okay, I bought a new computer with already-installed McAffe and Windows Vista Home Basic.

My other computer is Windows XP, it does nnot have McAffe, and it works perfectly with LimeWire.

However, I have installed & uninstalled LW about 5-10 times on this computer. The problem is that it says there is a firewall blocking it [ I have accepted LW in McAffe, and even turned off the firewall ], and there`s only 1bar on the connection bars.

I have tried every possible way to make it work. I just deleted Java6 and LW, so now can someone guide me how to make it work?

The following system details are not fully filled out. I just put in what you needed to know.

1. OS version? (eg: Windows 98) Windows Vista Home Basic
2. What firewalls you have? McAffe
3. How much ram? I don`t know.
4. Hard Disk space available? I don`t know.
5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.) Cable
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? all I know is our provider is Charter
7. Where are you trying to connect from (house, appartment complex, school, student accomodation, work, etc.)? house
9. Who is your ISP provider (Internet Service Provider)? Charter

It has been discovered that McAfee, Limewire and Vista don't mix...
Many people have uninstalled McAfee altogether and connect to LW no problem, but within the last day or two we have had a member uninstall McAfee and then re-install it and all is running well...
