Default Limewire + Vista + Windows Firewall + McAffe

Okay.
I deleted McAffe Firewall completely, and when I run Limewire, it connected to the internet fully.

But there`s still the firewall blocking.

I have allowed Limewire on Windows Firewall, but it still doesn`t work.

whenever i try and download anything, it says Needs More Sources

Help, please?

It may not be your firewall. If your getting results from your searches, then you have to be connected to the network. Could be the files you tried were fakes.

Try d/loading a file from here: http://www.magnetmix.com/audio2.shtml. Try the first one. It'll d/load in LW. Give it a couple minutes to start. If it doesn't, right click it and have it find more sources. It should start d/loading with good speed.

If it works, then those other files probably were fake and you may just need some pointers on finding good files.

See: How to find music

Fake files showing up in search results (Connecting for ages with many hosts & then Need More Sources when trying to download a file.).

Hi chris27_70,

jpannu15 has a problem with files not connecting. Their LW is fully connected. In your other posts, you say that your LW is not connected. If your LW is not connected, you don't have the same problem as jpannu15.
Which is it????

As remoc suggested...

...search through the Vista support section. Do you use McAfee? Heaps of people have had trouble with Vista & McAfee. If these threads don't help, use the forum search.
Vista + McAfee 2007 + LimeWire = dropping connection

“No Compromise” Vista-McAfee-Limewire Solution

Can't Connect With VISTA!

If you're still stuck then please provide some details.
