I'm not familiar with Shield Pro 2007. You can try it and see. avast is a good FREE one. I use Avira AntiVir PersonalEdition also free. Some people have had success by uninstalling and then reinstalling McAfee. Edit: See this post by birdy for more suggestions: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showpo...57&postcount=6 |
well...my father is worried about stuff so I was woundering if avast is that good against coverage like from everthing...does it offer scans and like a firewall? |
Try AVG free. It's a good AV that many people use. For a firewall I use Sygate Personal Firewall free. |
well do you think that McAfee will work at all if I call dell and tell them to work somting out? |
You can try McAfee support, they may know a work around. See what others have tried: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...ghlight=mcafee http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showthread.php?t=66843 http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showpo...3&postcount=45 |
You could try uninstalling it and see if it works. Though the problem may also be your router. They have firewalls in them that need configured. Instructions here to protforward your router http://portforward.com/english/route...N/Limewire.htm. Be sure to set up a static ip first: http://portforward.com/networking/staticip.htm BTW: I used to have a suzuki 90 when I was a kid and a suzuki 250 when i was a little older ;) |
