Ok. A ton of people with many types of PC’s are experiencing this same problem, which leads me to believe that this is a Limewire problem. I’ve read the threads and I’ve tried everything. I just paid money for this and I just want it to work. What’s the deal Limewire?
“Limewire is currently connecting to the network. Your search may not return many results until you are fully connected to the network.”
1.Windows Vista Home Premium on a HP Pavilion dv9000
2.Windows Firewall and Norton 360
3.958MB RAM
4.105GB free
5.Citywide wireless connection from EarthLink (New Orleans)
6.n/a
7.connecting from house
8.Limewire 4.14.10 Pro/ Java 1.6.0-oem
9.Feather wifi
10.My Test Worked…
11.No sharing
12.I’ve had the free version for over a year. Just upgraded.
13.Firewall is detected
14.n/a
15.Norton 360
16.USA

Once that is done the AppData file will show up click on it then choose Roaming. In the window that shows up right click on the LimeWire file and delete it. ( Attachment #3)

Yeah, It's not the pref folders or Java or the firewall. I even went through my email and downloaded LWpro on my other laptop which has XP on it, went through all of the steps and still nothing.
I'm starting to think maybe it's my wireless network. We have free city-wide wireless here in New Orleans provided by Earthlink. (Featherwifi.net) It's worked fine for a while but maybe they started blocking it or something. I'm gonna go try the coffee shop and if that doesn't work then that's everything I can think of.
