If you have created settings (eg: save to folder, speed, etc.) within LW you will have a preferences folder called Limewire.

You did a computer search for LimeWire? Selected each one from the search results to see the location shown?

Are you sure you are running Vista? Are you sure it was the correct account folders you were accessing?

I tried this and it worked along with some other stuff I did regarding connection. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You. I deleated the Lime Wire Folder and that seemed to do the trick after I restarted my computer.

I have a big problem here. Everytime I run limewire, my computer winds up freezing up. I have run all my anti-virus/spyware/malware software, but nothing seems to help it. I have tried completely reinstalling everything, but it still does it. What do I do??

alright... ive officially tried to do the stuff thats posted on here, I had limewire 5 but it didnt connect even after i had deleted all the fire walls, etc. Now ive deleted 5 and have 4, and even though ive changed the settings to supposedly let down the firewalls, it still has the globe at the bottom with the brick wall in front of it. Pls help!

Default Thank you!

After I followed Grandpa's (Easy to Follow) instructions it started up like nothing was ever wrong. Thank you very much!

Then click apply to folders. (Attachment #2)

Once that is done the AppData file will show up click on it then choose Roaming. In the window that shows up right click on the LimeWire file and delete it. ( Attachment #3)
Finally a cure, it fixed it right up. Thx!
