Red face Norton 2007 and 32bit Vista

Hello,
I am hoping someone wise can help me. New computer, with Norton 2007 installed, and trying to get Limewire to work. All installs fine, however limewire indicates that it has detected a firewall, and keeps syaing conecting to network, and no searches work. I have Java Environment 6 installed as well ?
Look forward to any advice....Cheers

Red face System Details

Hey Birdy,

Am using Vista 32 bit, norton 2007, 2GB RAM, 300GB space available, Windows Firewall is off, Windows defender is off...When limewire starts, it detects a firewall and does not connect ?

When I look at my system, it shows that Norton firewall is on, but I cannot find how to configure or turn this off ?

Thanks

Don't turn off the Norton firewall, just configure it See if the links below help.
http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showpo...10&postcount=6

Also try this link. Choose Norton from the list of firewalls.
http://www.portforward.com/english/r...outerindex.htm

If that doesn't help, you'll have to give us some more details...the system details link in my first post shows the info that we need. Your router might have an internal firewall, but who knows???
