2. What firewalls you have? normal ones (is avg a a firewall)
3. How much ram? wats ram
4. Hard Disk space available? maybe 32 not sure
5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.) the box says ethernet usb adsl
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? i think maybe linksy(not sure if thats for phone)
7. Where are you trying to connect from (house, appartment complex, school, student accomodation, work, etc.)? home

2. If you've got the AVG Free anti_virus, there's no firewall included. But some AVG products do include a firewall, so check which product you're using

6. Have a look on the Linksys & see if you can find a model number (eg WRT 54G).

9. Who do you pay for your internet access (which company)?

11. Are there other computers in the house, connected to the internet, besides the one you're using?

Have you made sure that LW's allowed through the windows firewall?

Do you connect wirelessly? If you do, there might be a router connected to the other computer. Go & check, have a look at all the boxes which plug into both computers

That message you see when you try to search is normal if your LW's not connected to the network.

You're in Sydney, right? With iPrimus? I have magic powers ...honestly, shitohdear you should be able to work out who your bloody ISP is...you (or your parents) are paying them for your internet each month

Find out what router you're using ( brand & model number or else forget it) & we stand a chance of being able to help you.

Have a look at whatever devices plug into your computer, both the ethernet box & the Linksys, just in case, & tell us the brand & model numbers of those.

Double check that your Windows firewall is allowing LW.

I think Hotkey are a subsidiary of iPrimus
