Hi Ive just tried Limewire for the first time but I can get it to work , can someone please assist me , i'd be really greatfull!!!!

I have been reading the forum for help but im still stuck and though i'd open a thread for help with my problem...

I found this link of questions so i'll fill it in and hopesomeone can help

2. What firewalls you have? Netgear DG834G v3 and PC Tools desktop firewall
3. How much ram? 1024mb
4. Hard Disk space available? around 90GB free space
5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.) broadband dsl upto 8MB , regularly get around 6MB download speeds
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? Netgear DG834G v3
7. Where are you trying to connect from (house, appartment complex, school, student accomodation, work, etc.)? house
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version. Limewire 4.12.11 & java 1.5.0_07
9. Who is your ISP provider (Internet Service Provider)? BT Total Broadband (UK)
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? a page opened and read ... Your test worked!!
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up. No other comps
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. First Try
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? Yes

Firstly I see that your Java needs to be updated to Java 6 as Vista requires it...
Uninstall your Java from the add/remove programs and then re-install the JRE offline version....(4th one down)

Also you will need to open a port in your routers firewall for Limewire...
