![]() Hi, I downloaded Limewire Pro a couple of days ago and everything works fine apart from one slight problem when I try to play audio files back on my media player. Near the end of a song it will skip for a few seconds then play. It's the same for every file. If you fast forward to just before where it starts to skip and play the file it will work fine, it only happens if you are trying to play the whole song. Playing in the Limewire player works fine. When I disable the Limewire player and use the media player to open the file it plays fine. Even burning on to disc the playback is perfect. My sharing folder is in the the default place to which I copy files and paste them to the seperate ""Music"" folder. Any ideas why this is happening? Thanks |

![]() Not to sure, but it sounds like something going wrong in the media player...It could even be a codec thing... You could try installing these codecs for Vista and see if that helps... ![]() Vista Codec Package v4.4.1 (freeware)

![]() It seems the SigmaTel High Definition Audio Codec seems to get confused with all of the enhancements turned on so if anyone else is having playback problems similar to mine is reading this and you have the same Codec (to find out mouse over the speaker icon situated in the right side of system tray) try the following: Click: Start > Control Panel > Sound (it might help to have it on classic view to see the sound icon better) > Speakers/Headphones > Enhancements. Check the box that says 'Disable all enhancements" and try playing back again to see if that fixes it. Worked perfect for me without any noticeable loss in sound quality. Thanks for the help and input WonderingWhy ![]() |
