Click on Start > Control Panel > Security Center > Windows Firewall > Allow a program Through Windows Firewall in the pop-up window look and see if LimeWire is listed and has a check mark in the box. If it is and there is a check mark in the box then highlight it and delete it.

Mack sure there is a check mark in the box at the bottom of the page where it says (Notify me when windows firewall blocks a new program) Now start LimeWire The windows firewall alert should pop up and ask if it should allow LimeWire access click on allow.

If it is and there is not a check mark in the box then put a check mark in the box and start LimeWire.

Thank you for the advice... Windows Firewall is disabled, I'm sorry if I didn't make that clear in the previous post. I am using PC Tools Firewall Plus and have set it up to allow limewire. I know that the settings on the firewall are correct because the Toshiba on this same network is also running PC Tools Firewall Plus and is allowing limewire to run with no problems. I double checked that Windows Firewall is off, but even so, limewire was already checked off as an exception, so that isn't the problem. Any other suggestions?
