LimeWire won't open! I have downloaded LimeWire to Vista, but whenever I try to open it (whether from the Start menu, desktop, or some other roundabout way) I see the initial LimeWire green box pop up, but NOTHING ELSE HAPPENS! What is going on, and how can I fix it?! Firewall is off and I have Java installed, I just don't know what to do! |
Have you tried deleting your preferences folder? (See sticky in this subforum) |
I followed the instructions in the Sticky thread, but it didn't change anything! The silly thing is, I have used LimeWire on this computer before, but through a wireless connection somewhere other than my home (and it wouldn't work there either). Now that I'm back at the same wireless, it won't work! I don't know what to do! |
What works for me is restarting my computer. So, I just don't exit limeware for as long as my computer is on (unless I don't mean to use it, anyway). |
Also, go to Program Files, find Limewire, and double click the icon: LimeWire On Startup. Works for me. |
