sooo slow

Hi I'm a newbie to this site but I was wandering why my downloads are so slow lately, I am firewalled and it wont disable . I am running vista , my comp is a 3.2 meg i think. downloads are running at 0-1 kb, i have allowed UPNP though my router but I dont know what esle to do, please help

Make sure that the Windows firewall is off & that Norton firewall is configured properly.

Try port forwarding for your router. The instructions are here.

Don't forget the step of setting up a staric IP address first. LW's listening port, port in the 'manual port forward' box & LW's listening port all have to be the same number

Is there any chance that you've exceeded your monthly download limit? If you have, you'll probably be shaped back to snail speed & so your downloads will be slow!
